Originally from the picturesque hills of Kathmandu, Nepal, Dina KC earned her M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Ghent University, in 2017 and her B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences, Kathmandu, in 2010. She previously served as a Biomedical Engineer at the Nepal Armed Police Force Hospital, overseeing critical infrastructure projects. Her research centers on soft, flexible technologies for responsive epileptic seizure treatment, combining optogenetics, optopharmacology, and advanced neural probe design. In her free time, she enjoys binge-watching NatGeo animal documentaries and movies while munching nonstop on snacks and chocolate, and taking epic naps that could last hours yet still count as a “day nap”.
